NZ Speed Tree Climbing TransTasman Championship in association with Asplundh and Guardian Tree Services
This growing sport attracts dedicated arborists around the world and demands a head for heights, great agility and technical expertise.
Champions from both sides of the Tasman will compete In The Square in Palmerston North in two disciplines – the ‘work climb’ featuring a different task at each ‘station’ and the ‘footlock’ where speed is king.
In 2017, Terry Boston from Byron Bay in Australia took home the trophy.
Want to know more? The event is being run by the New Zealand Arboricultural Association who are hosting special Have-a-Go sessions for kids on both days of the Games from 11am to 3:30pm.
